I really need to get in touch with the people at MDZhB and tell them that radio equipment does not run (at least not well) on Vodka

With the carrier remaining at full strength it's closer than that. A power failure will have more significant effect, especially in terms of what's seen on the waterfall. My guess is just the operator fine tuning buzzer position, making some much needed adjustments with the burst in activity it's had these past few weeks. Pitch changes can be controlled by a dial on the buzzer itself. It's electronic so volume is also not to be forgotten.

It is your guest. And I know the real reason:) Especially it is good seen outside when buzzer slows down and complitely stops whith carrier remaining. Takes few seconds to switch to diesel generator
